yeah sorry about that.....from what I was told the PCX is not being made anymore because of problems getting the material from the supplier...but then again I could be wrong If thats the case I apoligize...other than that the Hobie 12-6 Elite is a great board....

hey hows it goin ... I have a custom 2010 12-6 "PCX" elite board, my understanding is that the PCX board is a Poly-carbon blend and the PFX board was the production board which is about $600 less, i dont know what its made of.....but now Hobie has the CFX board. its best to call Hobie sup directly and find out. They are very helpful. As for the board being "delicate" I can tell you Mark Johnson shaped my board and its very tough. Ive dropped it in the parking lot and been rammed by a kayak with no dings..no problems....no worries....fast board.....but it always comes down to the paddler
