Dick DeBoer said the distance course will head north to Laguna's main beach...pretty cool.  But that incoming on raceboards for lap changes will be epic carnage with swell for sure.  Thanks for posting John, really cool info.

I hear that! I went home to Texas and put on 10-15 in a 6 week period of no water time and meat daily.  Funny thing was I borrowed a 7'6" that made me able to stand up for 10-20 seconds out past the 4-6 foot waves.  Did I mention I have only surfed 5 times in past 18 months...yikes. Funny how we remember that we learned this sport earlier...just forgot the initial learning curve?  Now I have a goal to get a 7 7-10" and I should be fine.  Aloha

Feel you brother...on Tuesday I swapped my 8'2 Infinity for a 7'4" Infinity and had to paddle it prone and could only stand up once in a wave?  Trying to remember back in 07 if my 9'6" had this kind of challenge...so much for wanting to hop on a super small board.  Unfortunately I will be swapping back next week unless by some miracle I lose 30lbs or get so mad skills.

I am a beta tester for Aquapac and they sent me one last year that I used in SUPing and Kitesurfing.  I had many falls and it survived the rigorous beating of the waves.  I am confident that it would work for just about anything after the tests I put it through.  Look them up under aquapac.  Good luck!

That is awesome, I have been fumbling around for a mounting process that works.  Great to see the exact camera and floaty I already own.  Awesome.  Are those stainless steel hardware pieces?  thanks, Brett

Mine is a 2005 which holds my 2 Imagine Eco's (8'6 & 9'0) Enigmas inside with my kitesurfing gear/board and the outside is reserved for my larger boards.  Used to have a Xterra and could get my 9'6 inside but could not see out the passenger side.  Now my only concern is the texture of the water!
