Hey guys thanks for the quick responses!  Just got back from work and paddling my naish a bit around the bay, pretty windy but nice all-around. 

Yeah I think that I might rent one first, but the price is right on that C4.  Are they good boards btw?  My balance is good, the odysseus feels like i could do kartwheels on it though

eeck, I am on the big island but head over to Oahu every couple weeks for work maybe we can go for a paddle!

Hey guys how's it going I'm new to the forums here but share a love with the sport!

I have a Naish Odysseus 9'8" that I use to cruise around the bays here in Hawaii, relax, snorkel etc.  Good all-around short cruiser (transportation) that suits my lazy day needs.

I went to look at a C4 turbo spud 8'4"x28.85x4 and 125L.  I am 5'9 170~.  Used and in perfect condition so that is what peaked my interest, wanted to take it out to some small waves and cruise around. 

Do you think this is going to be too unstable to paddle out on, or if the waves die to do a little bit of exploring.  I have my sea legs, paddling, prone surf and sailing.
