Mine also sits low, right around my lower rib cage. And all this is cinched down by another strap that goes through a buckle. Very nice design.
I didn't think this would work either but saw someone with one over a vest when visiting the Gorge last summer. Go to a shop with your vest and try one on. It works great. And the hook moves well too.

Ride Engine Vanaka Harness V2. Has a cumberbum like elastic sash that you can pull and velcrose to keep it tight around the vest.

I have the same vest as Walnut, the WIP. The other thing I like about it is that I can stuff my VHF radio in it and barely know it is there. I think the side zip with the cinching straps helps with that. Looking at the new WIPs, the hook looks like it cannot move which would be a negative for me. My harness fits comfortably over the WIP I currently have.

Thank you for that advice, Burchas. Will experiment with the 200 tail. Am riding a rocket s 70 liter.

Riding strapped with a 95 cm carbon mast. Very balanced foot pressure but with strong wind and decent size  chop it seems like the increase in lift is sometimes too much to control by increasing front foot pressure.

Correct. Breaching when the wind is strong.

Use would be riding wind swell at 170 pounds when winds are over 20 knots. Sk8 seems to be advertised best for turns on a wave face, which I would not be doing. But would like a foil designed like a SS. This would complement a SS 1200.

Enjoy the ease of use and performance of the Fone Seven Seas Foils. Smallest foil for SS is 1000 but would like one smaller for heavier winds. Sk8 has a similar aspect ratio and comes in sizes less than 1000. Knowing that there is more to foil performance than area and aspect ratio, can anyone make an educated guess as to how the performance of a foil with a Seven Seas design with the same area would differ from the smaller Sk8 sizes, say an 850. Assume the stabilizers and fuselage lengths are the same.

9
Putting a + shim on the stabilizer creates lift for the stabilizer wing which lifts the tail up. When the tail goes up, the nose goes down (like a teeter tooter), taking lift away from the front wing. Exactly like elevator trim on an. airplane.

thank you for the picture VB_. Reason I asked is that I need to stand farther forward than the windsurf pattern footstraps allow (for the moment). This is helpful.

Any pictures of your strap setup, VB_?

Hard to comment on that Esteban. Didn't find this any more stable than my previous board of close to the same volume. Also, have been in pretty high wind at the Gorge where you could probably put a hydrofoil on a door and it would be stable. But if I lived at the Gorge I would be real comfortable getting the next size down.

Have had three sessions on the 88. At a weight of 75kg, with almost a full wind season on the wing, was tempted to get the 75 but wing exclusively in SFBay/Golden Gate (Crissy) and decades of windsurfing there and limping back from the Bridge on my 80 liter Logosz Twintip windsurf board told me it may be more comfortable and safer to get the 88.
I am presently visiting a friend at the Gorge and was lucky enough to make this purchase. Board build is everything reviews have said. All sessions have been using the Armstrong 1250/232/0/60 fuse/85 mast/old setup (not the A+) at the Rowena/Dougs corridor late afternoon/early evening on a 4 meter Slingwing which is my smallest hand wing.  All sessions have been in blasting wind with monster gusts that can abruptly switch directions and decent size swell as you get towards the Washington side of the River.
The board has been a blast. Like heaven once you get balanced on foil. Getting on foil has taken a little getting use to. Body position must be much more forward than for other boards with ALOT of weight on front foot. And this is with the foil all the way back on the track! I am wondering if I will be able to use any front wing bigger than the 1250 on this board. Not complaining, just wondering if I should sell my other wing, an 1850, which I rarely use anyway. Also wondering if this board could make the HA 1125 much less challenging getting up on foil, as  some have indicated. Don't own that foil wing yet so no way to test and comment.
Bottom line, very happy with the purchase for the area I plan to use it.

Any suggestions, other than Kahului Harbor, for wing foiling on Maui in the Winter, where punishing shore break, shallow reefs and bigger swell can be avoided?

Wingsurfing, Windfoiling, Wingfoiling, Wing SUP / Re: New NORTH wing
« on: March 05, 2021, 09:00:16 PM »
This North Seek foil board seems to have many of the characteristics of the new Slingshot Wingcraft; very beviled rails, similar tail shape. The North Seek is advertised as a wing/sup board whereas the Slingshot is characterized as a pure wing board. Anybody see any reason for including the SUP function for the North other than to satisfy the desires of the marketing department?
