Which board on top (on the rack)?
« on: July 01, 2017, 05:01:18 AM »
I'm packing for a trip to Montauk and have a 12'6 SIC bullet (long, skinny) and Naish Odysseus (9'8x34-short and wide). Strapping both to roof rack. Which one should go on top? Will be highway driving.

I think I'd be putting the big wide Odysseus on the bottom upside down and take the fin off.. and use some padding between the boards.. But the other way around should work just fine.

Generally, put the biggest/toughest/cheapest board on the bottom. Which mostly in your case probably means the Naish.

Would take fins off for a long trip and put the wider flatter stronger board on the bottom.
