If you are just starting out, and are concerned about a paddle to go with a Red, look at airkayaks.com.  They have the explorer:

http://www.airkayaks.com/2014-red-air-explorer-12-6-inflatable-sup-paddle-board/

And are including a carbon 3 piece paddle.  I have the 9'6" Allwater from there, and find this paddle just fine for touring.  If trying for speed, I would like something more, but would also like a more appropriate board for that.

I repent of my earlier ignorant post. I ended up getting both a starboard 14' Astro and Red 12.6. Very happy with both of them. What did you end up getting?

Bumping this old thread just to provide some input on the Sea Eagle. I don't have a needlenose. I've had the sea eagle longboard for about a year - when I was just getting started. My other board is a standard riviera board. We do small lakes and bays up to large lakes (lake ontario where waves can be 3 to 4 ft). The inflatable sea eagle in my opinion is fine if you don't want to spend a lot of money, are just getting started and need something inflatable. It moves as well through the water as the riviera. I usually inflate to 14psi and that works well for me,  I'm 196 lbs.

For a non-race design the longboard they have can get you started for $799 which is inexpensive compared to many other  inflatable options. I'll be selling my riviera in the spring and planning to buy a race inflatable, likely a fanatic or starboard.

I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars if I was rating. For those new to the sport, it's a fine starter option for you to get started without having to invest $1400+ in one of the more well known brands.
