Stand Up Paddle on the Wii, too bad it's so lame. Still shows how hot SUP is.

Mmnn that makes SUP look really good - I know that our average age is generally higher but I dont quite feel the need for a catheter like she has in the video - yet.

It could be worse I guess.

From a "getting the lazy kid off the couch and doing something" perspective - it's not that bad.

If it sells - they will progress and make a better one some day.

Wait, isn't the positions of paddling the opposite of what is shown.  When surfing, you would spread your feet apart but when paddling on the flats you would have your feet together.  You would think they would check this out before programming the game.  Maybe they had to do like this because they want you to be doing a lot of lunges and to hold your lunges.  It looks like a good workout anyway.

WTF...why didn't they use the balance board as part of it? My kids got me a Wii last Christmas with the board for balance therapy. Some games use it pretty effectively. I'm sure this is done primarily as a fitness game but they sure could do a better job.

Well, it's not really that accurate, but it does show the huge interest in Stand Up. Soon they'll have Stand Up apps for your iPhone...

I like the way the green farts turn into sparkles--just like mine.

Do they have a downwinder version where I just sort of have to stand there and hold my paddle?

The funny thing is the Wii controller is probably even heavier than some of the new ultralite paddles going around   :o
