Surf was pretty gutless and dumpy this day, but I had a lot of fun anyway.

SoloShot is great, but a lot of effort to get it set up and calibrated.  I have had it 6 months and used it to vid myself only once, used it on friends several times.  Paid lots of money for the setup and never feel all that motivated to use it, go figure. 

I have a small, corkscrew boat anchor that drills down into the sand solidly and I chain the whole unit to that.  People could twist and twist and finally get the SoloShot loose, but it would take awhile.  So nobody can just grab it and run.  Seems like the chains and locks on it make it seem too hard to steal anyway and I have never seen anyone monkey with it.

My beach cam recorded some punks screwing with my camera... videoing themselves flipping me off and stuff.... but the best was at the end, when one of them said "I'm taking this camera with me, when I leave"
Then he shut my camera off

Here's the one I use.  It screws down far enough to get a solid anchor into the hard sand and the cross piece comes off to be stored elsewhere.  Without that crosspiece, it's amazingly difficult to get out of the ground.

I would love to surf mushy waves like that. Those mushy waves which you surfed where you are would be considered big waves for sup surfing on our upper Texas coast.
