Based on the forecast she may be just as gnarly as Marie! She's expected to arrive on Tuesday and peaking on Wednesday of next week.

Looks fun, but definitely only a little sister at best to Marie as far as SoCal swell--unless I'm missing something.

Odile made landfall at around 9:45 PM PST on Sunday and slammed Cabo with a Cat 3 storm.  The projected path for Odile is north north west over land so it looks like no swell for So. Cal. except for may be rain in the lower desert.

Meanwhile on the other side of the Pacific, Typoon Kalmaegi is hitting Hong Kong with sustained wind speeds of 50 knots...

I've been following it and Southen Baja is getting slammed. The folks at Baja Nomad Forum are giving the up close and personal experiences.

And on the East Coast (way out to sea) we have Edouard (Cat 3) which should bring a nice swell, mid-week fur us.

I've been to Baja a bunch in my Teens..and less often later,

But I can only imagine surfing way up inside the Gulf.

Lots of reefs, islands, points...
