So Cal,

When I was surfing the other day, CD (So Cal's offspring) was complaining to me that he didn't have any good food in the house anymore and that it was all my fault!

Good luck!  First weigh in is tomorrow... which pretty much guarantees a cardio and pull up / push up / dip session tonight...

GOOD LUCK FELLOW FAT ASSES... REMEMBER... a moment on the lips versus a week's worth of ridicule on the Zone...

Anyone who doesn't post their weight tomorrow... I will just assume you got fatter and will taunt you all weekend with random posts of ridicule.

Been staying off the carbs late in the day but last night I put a whole avo (not one of those wimpy Santa Barbara size Haas avos ... a one pound Hawaiian species, equally buttery and rich) in my salad, which was nice and filling.  But this morning looked like a backslide to 189.  Rainy and onshore today so I gotta do an indoor workout which I'm not so fond of because it's ... working out and not oblivious fun.

First day back to work today.  This will be challenging considering I make and serve food for 14hrs, but I'm staying on track with the calorie counting.  Hope to get the excesses cranked up for the following week weigh in.

Birthday in the middle of the week kind of hosed me. I'm having my teeth wired together for the remainder of the week.

Pull ups and push ups are good, but if you want to lose weight I'd skip the dip.

PDX- I'm looking for someone to edit my book.  You seem pretty quick with words and funny too.  Interested?  Seriously.

So Tim, I'm remembering that board pic you posted and thinking that you gotta be putting that board under water at your beginning weight.  Amazing balance you have.  I've wndsrfed with the board almost under water in light winds and that's holding on to a boom.

Happy B-day Bill.  Paddling with you recently, it's obvious you are already a strong paddler and this program we're all on is really going to pay off.  Keep that vision in your mind of  ... the Pailolo.  Good glide hunting.

Thanks Bill... the tops of the feet are definitely submerged... especially on the 8'3" by 27" ... but it is all fun!  Then, when I jump back on my Roger Hinds 8'6" ... it feels like I am on a much easier board... oh the games we play with ourselves...

I promised my son a snowboard run this weekend... so no paddling unless we decide to go for a paddle on the lake after snowboarding... wait a minute... that might me FUN... so, if you see two crazy people doing a downwinder on Big Bear Lake Sunday afternoon... that would be Tim and Joel... (gonna try and sneak out for an a.m. surf tomorrow though... out of bed and back in before the wife knows what happened...)

Congratulations on the weigh in!

My slow and steady goal is 2 pounds per week... they come off easier at first, as evidenced by my three pound loss with virtually no exercize (except the dip / pullup stand in my office)...

I am going to go with another two pounds... and next week's goal is 195.

My son (works in Thailand) took my grandson Kaikea (8) to Hokkaido for x-mas.  He linked turns the first day in hip deep.
