Apps for Droid
« on: December 07, 2010, 07:05:29 PM »
I think I've seen similar posts but couldn't find them.

Just got a Droid Incredible....now for adding apps.

Any favorites out there? Both SUP related and otherwise?

I wonder why no one has developed a heart rate monitor for smart phones. Seems like it would be a pretty easy thing. A band with bluetooth xcvr an app and an api.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Lots of experts say the Android app market will be soon bigger than the Iphone app market, so you'll have lots of apps about to release soon, specially with the inminent launch of the Google Nexus S phone

Just got endomondo this weekend (free)  Pretty sweet - tracked my last two paddles around and island and river - and allows you to share your route with others - for example via email or facebook.  Tells you your distance and avg speed - and breaks out how well you did each mile.  Very happy with it.

I've got the evo 4g and use runkeeper.com.  got it on the market.  If you have a way to keep your phone waterproof its great.  Uses the gps function to give a pleasant female voice every 5 minutes to notify you of total time, distance covered and pace.  Perfect for me...I don't need a heart monitor, I know when Im beating 140 and when I'm not.

Sounds like you are packing your phones while paddling.  How are you keeping them dry?

I like this one.   Fit my evo fine until I split the seam.  Now I am using it with an Epic.  There are some old threads on waterproof cases.
