Fun on the river
« on: February 26, 2008, 09:18:19 PM »
Well I am bored so I thought I would share.
I Had to get a fix of kayaking last week so I hucked a little drop we call Spirit Falls on the Little White.  I used to run this every time down the river then as people got hurt I decided against it.  Finally I felt it last week and had a good run after 5 years of portaging it.  STOKED

Kind of crappy qual but you get the idea.  It's about 35 foot

Is that you doing the drop?  Pretty impressive.  The impact at the bottom must hurt a bit.

I think this is insane. My neighbour use to paddle in the river, here is he in Los Alerces, Rio Manso, Argentine 2005:

He is now see paddling but does not SUP. He tried once with my board but he is not hooked.

yes that is a video of me on that drop its a hit but not too bad at that level.  Lower levels are much worse.
The Rio Manso drop is sweet I ran that same drop in 1994 with some buddies.  We think it may have been a first D back then.  A few of us ran back up and ran it again to double down.  Yehaaa :D

Not me :D  I know better ;)  I have been riding some small stationary waves on the local rivers around here though.  Good fun, and I can attain upstream like a salmon all jacked up on Red Bull ;D
