Is that an NRS drysuit?  What's it like to paddle in?  I want something other than a wetsuit for the non-surf sessions when falling in could mean hypothermia.

Watch what happens in the SUP world that comes out of Salida, CO. East coast, west coast.... meet the NO coast. You will be amazed. These guys are about to push design past the closed minds.

Yes it is the4 NRS E-vent.  I love it, but I come from more of a kayaking background than surfing so for me it feels normal.  The comfort and warmth is unmatched.  The problem I have most days in the winter paddling in it is overheating, not getting cold.  From a safety stand point there is nothing better and if you are standing up in the wind the dry suit keeps you warm where a wetsuit starts to fail.

Thanks Badfish - I'm torn between the E-vent and the non E-vent versions, but I've heard the E-vent is much better.  Nice video and pics!

Any idea if anyone is using one of these anywhere in the SE?  I would think they would pretty much be destroyed by rocks....no?

None of these boards in particular are in the SE yet.  Epoxy boards on rivers are a mixed bag.  If you are going out just to surf river features epoxy is far superior to the other options.  We are using these boards in the photos for strictly park and surf.  Coming out of the eddy onto a wave and back in again, no downriver paddling at all.  Obviously rocks and epoxy boards are a bad mix at times.  That said we have had very little serious damage in the last year that we have been seriously river surfing.  Cheers!

Looks fun.  Exactly what utility is provided by wearing the board shorts over the wetsuit?

Two cents from Ohio.

WOW this thing is awesome! I got mine the other day and set it up with basic thruster set up. Second try was up surfing at local park and play. Much different then my other boards but much more responsive and no worries about catching the nose. Will open up more aggressive moves for sure. Crazy how short it is.

I would not run it down rocks, but there are no rocks in Ohio to worry about :)

I was considering purchasing one, but the price  is a little steep, plus they have nothing awailalble for 6 weeks.
might be nice to have in the quiver, but still trying to decide between this and the cmac 10"6" atb board, so i can go down river as well.

sick video Corran. Is that Habitat 67? I love Montreal.  I have been there 5 or 6 times but only ever surfed a kayak on those waves. It is about the coolest urban paddling experience on the planet though.  Seems like the swim/paddle after Lachine on a SUP board would be kind of brutal?

that is one of the coolest river waves I have ever seen.  That thing is way out there too.  I have seen it from the platform and wondered how you could ever get out there.  The board looks stiff and light!

We have been working on 360's here is some video from a session today in Glenwood.  Sorry its so zoomed out. shot with a handheld Go Pro.
