Winter Solo Sessions
« on: October 26, 2010, 06:05:47 PM »

Winter wave season is picking up and the North Shore solo sessions that we wait all summer for are starting to fill in.  Surfing with the crowds in the morning and then getting those magic afternoons at the secluded spots - Solo SUP Style. Absolutely the best thing about SUP is breaking from the crowd.

I saw you guys out these last week.  Man I want some more of that.  I hope we get a repeat of last winter.

Aloha,

Making me crazy. 19 daze and a wakeup. We have to figure out a way to get maybe two or three folks out in the lonely breaks without it turning into a crowd scene. I love having them all to myself but the thought of breaking a leash by myself a mile out still creeps me out. Takes all fricken day to swim in.

Awesome.  Uncrowded clean waves are the best.

Some more from early mornings and afternoons from last winter.

Hah!  You are getting better than us.  If it were good here right now I wouldn't be working (read: looking at pics from last winter).

We have both had a few.  I have a new Shibi SUP (9'10, 27 3/4, 4) for this season, Chan got a new Milkman.  Great boards, great to deal with.

Matt did a new board for Pat Fakuda.  It is hard to watch that guy SUP (or of course surf) and still feel good about yourself. :)

My last year's Shibi SUP is for sale.  Just gotta snap some shots.
