Just had my first proper down wind mission yesterday.............WHAT A GASSS! 7.5 miles in 2 hours.
Screaming Easterly trades, 3m swells. The first leg was open ocean and it felt like "victory at sea" but we were flying. Searched a couple new breaks but they were blown.
Then the second leg was on the lee side of the island, still had the wind from behind but flat water. Saw tons of big Green Turtles and freaked out a bunch of boats......it was all good.
Man this sport is rediculous, it never stops amazing me; now i gotta get a dedicated downwind board along with the RIPPER I want. Boy...........the kiting gear and short board are serously collecting dust now.
