I paddle the 12-1/2' and the 14' and purchased the lightweight 20 lb 14' foot 404 prototype this weekend after the Tahoe Na-Lu.

I prefer the 14' because of my size: 6'2", 190 lbs, athletic build.

I'm new to the sport but I demo'd about 5-6 different boards and thought the 404 was the best all around board for Tahoe for speed, glass mornings, and up and downwind with waves and side chop.  The board that I liked as much was a Bark Custom 14' Dominator; I chose the 404 because it was a bit more stable side to side or laterally.

Boards I tried were Ron House, Naish Glide and Javelin, Bark 18' and a Bark 14 Dominator, SUP Zephyr.
