Why not make it Aug 21?
Saturday ....  Probably the day before Old Timers
A week after CCBC
Low tide = 5pm ....cries for a sunset sesh or dawn patrol or both

If the plovers ever fletch, I'll be on the outer beach.....

That sounds good to me.

hey stoneaxe

make sure to let us know what you think of your new board once you get it figured out. i am hopping to get a shorter board from my 11'4 naish. i am trying to chose between a naish 9"5 mana or a south country board like yours.

cheers from your northern neighbors/viking cousins.

Evening surf on 8/21 sounds good.  I'll have the Jeep ready to roll down south Nauset.

but... I have got to try SUP'ing!

Two questions...

I live in Mississippi, and not on the coast, so not many opportunities to even try one, never mind buy one... Anyways, I will be staying on the Cape from 7/25-8/1, anyone know of a shop that rents? I will be in Truro. Pray for surf!

Kayaker/surf kayaker for many years and think that SUP would be perfect here in the South. Lots of lakes and big rivers here to paddle/cruise/float. Ideally i would love a board i could carry down the street and jump in the local river, paddle for exercise, sanity and exploration and maybe the few times a year I make it to the coast, catch some mellow waves. Fyi 6ft 185 lbs.

Any suggestions?
Thanks and sorry again for crashing your thread.

8/21 nite surf sounds good

Jason.....Adventure Chatham on Harwich /Chatham line...Nauset Sports in Orleans would be your best bets. I know Justin at Adventure Chatham has 11-6 Oxbows which would be a good one to try....at your size I'd say stay above 10-6 long and look at boards at least 28-30 inches wide.

I'd like to accomadate all, with extra SUP gear but can't afford to buy a honest rig for myself.

10 days in Rome and Tuscany just ended with a 90 minute knee deep, 1/2 the lawn, mowing session and a light wallet!

Before going, I did get a chance on a 10' sub vector; definitely getting to a size that I like.

Back to my old windsurfer SUP substitute!

That's sounds interesting.

I can see the way the summer is going, buying a board suitable for a CC Crossing is not likely.

Since back home, pond action with my son has opened up the eyes of 3 more.  Girls / young ladies; one even did it with jeans on!

Thanks, RC
