El Salvador....

I recently got back from a trip to El Salvador.  Awesome trip!!!! Stayed at Las Flores....Had good/GREAT surf (4 to 8 feet with light winds)the entire week..and that right point break is a killer SUP wave. Ran into Ned Snow who was staying at the same surf resort. Ned is from Hawaii and is currently ranked among the top 5 longboarders in the world...and he's not a bad on a SUP!!! Here a few pics I took of Ned when he took my board out (9'6" PSH WAA) for  a few waves.. Needless to say but the guy RIPS regardless of the equipment he's on!!!  Interestingly, there was another Hawaiian (MARK) also staying at the same resort (He also charged!!)...He's good friends with Buzzy Kerbox and also SUPS....Although Ned and Mark were the only two people down there who had SUPed... there was a good vibe from everyone else about my having a standup board there for the week. (of course I was the only one!!) Both Ned and Mark were super good guys and reinforced to me that the people from Hawaii really appreciate what being a true "waterman" is all about....taking a wide multifaceted approach to enjoying the ocean and not being locked into a narrow minded "surfing is the only way to go" attitude. It was definitely a great trip... for a variety of reasons (great waves,  great people etc)..and the memories will keep a smile on my face for a long time!!!  ..Tim

Nice photos, I have yet to make that trip but my older brother bought a lot there and has tons of stories concerning unexplored surf spots just ripe for standup paddle surfing & exploring. Places where prone surfers will never go.
