Hi Pierre,

This has inspired me to build something very similar.  A couple of questions:

1) did you glass the interior?
2) how far forward from the stern is your fin?

Thanks....Dennis

your scarf joint on the top looks great.  You can hardly see it.  On mine I used way too much epoxy on that scarf joint. The resulting hardened mess was really hard to clean up.  Yours looks great.

That is inspiring and awesome!  Hope to try this one day with my Dad.  It would be a great hobby.

Hi all, sorry not to reply but I was travelling far from home...
To reply to Dennis I just epoxy coated interior, and aft of fin is about 10" to stern. I just build it from my own sketches, without any pattern or such.
the board is perfect on flat water, I won 1 local race with and finish at good places at few others. it's just a bit too heavy, and not good as downwinder because the tail is V shaped and bow is too low above water. but generally the weight is not so important except for carrying the board  :D

I've been upgrading board: destroyed deck, removed centre stringer and replaced it by deck beams and stanchions. reduced tail Vee and rocker a bit and added a foam dome deck...

quite stoked, finished 7th in Paris SUP crossing last weekend! :) and board is much easier at downwind in choppy conditions with that type of deck, a lot of fun!

Also built a 12'6" last october, same structure, very stiff, almost no glassing except on deck.

Love your 12.6 racer with its wave piercing nose, how is it to paddle?
Are your boards glassed to finish, also what weight do they come in at please?

Sorry to be so late, JT...

it's excellent to paddle, it passes through chop like knife in butter and not later than yesterday I made an incredible downwind with...

board is internally epoxy coated and externally glassed wirh very light cloth ( except ordinary one on deck)

weight about 13 kg ( sorry for pound conversion...)
