Awesome day, Great start to the Cape Cod Bay Challenge series. Great effort Christa and Jody. Iron Mike, Boardshorts, and President Ned also contributed with huge efforts.

Great to meet some awesome new people.

Just want to say thanks to the event organizers, Christa/Jody, and the rest of the CCBC staff/board that provided an excellent venue, and an incredibly physical fun event. Met some great folks, and was able to catch up with some of those I did the crossing with last year.

1.the paddle course into and out of the surf was fun, the deep sand run(s) was truely agonizing and humbling for me, it added an element of OH CRAP to the race.
I still hate to run, and will still not train to run next year, oh well 
 
2. Who could not love the waves that everyone was able to enjoy before, during ,and after the race. the most fun was post race sup surfing and watching lots of sup'rs sharing the break, with no problems and no injuries.

3. big thanks to the Wachusett Beer company, everybody was able to lift and enjoy those "trophies". yummy

again thanks to those who put themselves out to plan and execute this fun event, can't wait to do it again next year, even the crappy running part

So much fun!  Meeting zoners & making some new friends.  Race was tough, tough TOUGH but great mental training for the upcoming CCBC.  I feel like I saw some true athletes this weekend between the stamina event and the great surfing.  Looking forward to July 17th on the Charles river in Boston!

There was talk of it. It would have been a perfect day for it. Best of both worlds for sure...just wish we could count on the conditions a little better.

I'm thinking next year we add a surf event and a downwind event...both would require holds based on conditions but be a LOT of fun for sure.

1.  Katie LeGrand (Katie was our only solo woman competitor to finish but watch out, she's only been paddling a short while...I've known her since she was a kid and she's an amazing athlete. I won't be surprised if she kicks most of our butts at the Challenge on the Charles July 17th)
2.  Mara Bresnahan/Christina Penney...couldn't have been happier to see the smiles on Christina and Mara...these are the two young ladies I just sold a couple of my boards to....stoke off the charts.
