I am really excited for the Rapidfire myself. It will be available in May. Maybe earlier if we're lucky. Retail price will be most likely be in the $700-800 range.

I can only guesstimate on the weight... hopefully 40 lbs, but we shall see. Corran has been working on some interesting ways to reduce weight of his plastic SUPs.

Hey

Its $729 (US in USA and Canadian in Canada - its basically the same thing anyway). May is the release date and as kevin said, target weight is under 40lbs... hopefully mid to upper 30's.

The boards will be in production in 4 weeks  ;D

Where are you located... to see if there is a dealer near you. If nit we'll organise a direct sale, but we prefer to support our dealers when we can.

There is a river paddlefest on the Truckee River in Reno at the new whitewater park in May. River race & possible rodeo on standing wave at the park. May be a good opportunity to demo river boards. Info available on website. Sorry I don't have link on hand.

Yeah. We're also putting a pro form program into place now for the board. The Zone prefers that we don't paste this stuff here (understandably), but you can find info here about it.

Rapidfire rocks!

For a while now the inflatables have been the “go to” board for those looking for whitewater, but I am going to be the first to say that will change.

For those searching for the best whitewater SUP board, the Rapidfire is it!

Short and maneuverable, I felt like I was in a creek boat. There is a lot of rocker on this board. You can turn on a dime. Plus being short you dint feel like you were turning a tanker into an eddy. When you lean on a edge it turns even better. You can add any size fin if you chose for some added tracking, it comes with a nice short rubber fin, but for the river it was better without.

Super durable, “Plastic” need I say more (No blowing needed). Nice and clean top, nothing to get in the way.

Stable. I saw some of Corran’s videos; he made staying upright look so easy…now I now it was just the board. Just kidding. While playing around in the current I started to lose my balance, the board went past 45 deg. I stayed on. I would have fallen off any other board. The foot area is shaped out to give you the best footing possible. It allows you to take a natural stance for balance in any situation, even while falling off. I was able to transition to the back of the board to pivot on the tail while in the current. I have not been able to do this on my other boards. The sides are thick, I was really able to carve into the eddies like a kayak. No catching the rails.

Details, There are many well thought out details to the board. You can’t really see them in the photos; you have to see them and feel them when you paddle. The textured grip molded in to give you great footing, the contoured foot area to give you great stability, the well placed handles for getting back on, the rocker like a ww kayak. For those that want to take extras with you there is a handy storage compartment.

Price! Even with out the killer deal they are offering this summer it’s a great price.

Surfabilty? I didn’t get to surf it but I could tell while ferrying across the current that with the right wave, it will hold its own. I felt very comfortable switching from offset to surfer stance. I foresee  rodeo SUP boards coming soon doing crazy tricks.

In a nut shell go out and find one to get on! Once you try it you will understand. For many of us we have been searching and waiting for the right board since the beginning, Now we have it. I can’t wait to see where this takes whitewater SUPing.

If you live near Columbus Ohio shoot me a email and I will let you try mine.
