New SIC 18

Let's call this one the Dyson-18.  Jack just picked up his new board and it looks like a piece of candy.

Wow it looks almost like an OC-1 cool looking. How thick is it? Is it a hollow core?

hot looking board. I like the way the deck drainage channel cuts to a waterfall tail

Jack asked Mark to craft him something based on elements of a surf ski.  This was designed for mostly flat water or very light downwind.  It has zero rocker until the last 3 feet.  I am eyeballing the nose at about 7 inches thick and the stand area at 6.  This board is foam core, although a hollow eggshell version would be sick.  Larry, I didn't check out the vents, so... not sure.

Wow foam core nice. Another local guy here in Honolulu just  got a SIC F18 foam core custom shape to his specs and 8" thick. Almost like the shape of the new 12'6s with that square chopped tail like a windsurfer tail.  He claims its the bomb on the Hawaii Kai run.

That board was a long time in the making. Seems like I saw it at SIC for months. Can't wait to see how it turns out, a pretty radical concept, especially for Maui. How often does anyone here paddle in flat water.

speaking of flatwater, boy, that shifty wind, no wind, swells from both directions paddle I had yesterday really sucked. I actually felt a little queasy bobbing in that mess. Hope you guys had a better go.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Jack's board looks slick.  Let us know how he likes it compared to his red F-16.

Thanks Randy, Jack, Mark R and Livio for taking me downwind last week.  I had a blast.  And thanks Bill for letting me use your leash.

Stoked to go with you Evan, great run.  We have had your bro's Slack Key disk in the player ever since you left...that guy can play.  Thanks for that.

are you refering to the last three feet forward or in the rear??? would that be nose or tail rocker??

Sorry, tail rocker.  The last 3 feet in the rear.
