Dry-Land Training Work Out
« on: February 22, 2010, 09:06:08 AM »
I've found that a lot of the work-outs we do at the fire station have really complimented my paddling... lots of stuff that works on shoulder, core, back and grip strength...  we made a 5 minute video last week... some excersizes you won't see at most gyms...

Yeah Craig, it is very much like/inspired by Cross Fit.  It is a variation called Tac Fit...

Great training variations. That Turkish getup is one of my KB goals to master.

You will notice that my co-worker is the one doing the Turkish Get-Up with the 52 pounder... I'm still trying to master the 40lb. ;)

Yeah man I watch training videos of the Turkish getup and it looks so easy but its hard as hell. Just getting my renegade rows down with feet closer together  I been really diggin that exercise very challenging. Especially when done as a circuit.
