Foote Outer Reef Charger
« on: December 23, 2007, 06:34:20 AM »
The other Randy  :D just sent over some shots of his new 11' Foote "Down Wind / Gun (Outer Reef Charger)".  His note to the Zone:

"Aloha Guys,
Some pics of the outter reef gun Bill shaped for me.
Just came home from a downwind run with Bill and Ripper Joe.
No waves to catch but very happy with how it paddles. Got into plenty of small glides that are
normally kinda hard to catch, so I'm sure it will do great in better conditions.

Now I just need some waves for the second phase of testing."

Very Cool!!       I LOVE seeing Lightining Bolts again.     I grew up in that era where it was the absolute coolest thing.    My first bolt was a hand me down all busted up but I cherished that thing!    Its the first board I trimed across a open face instead of whitewater....

Beautiful board Bill...

Very Nice!

Another beauty!  Hey Randy, I am looking forward to getting out there with you guys on my ol trusty 12' Foote.  I wish i could have seen you stoking on your new board.

I really like the way the board has classic longboard lines.  That is what I like about the Foote boards i have ridden.  They feel like a surfboard in waves too.

Hmm...  maybe those lightning bolts are a good idea.  Originally from San Diego and all.  I was going for the old school plain clear glass but some nice blue & gold bolts has me thinkin...

With or without the bolts , Foote boards are typically works of art you never part with..as with most name shapers throughout the Islands

Did Randy change the deck pad because the deck pads are different.

Nice catch Byron,
I should have caught that.  That deck pad is pretty...um...distinctifying.  That makes this his smaller board (around 9'10 if memory serves).
