SIC order question

My friend put a down payment through paypal on a F-series board about a week ago but have not heard from SIC yet. Does anyone know how long on average it takes for them to contact back? He knows that the board won't be made for a while but will it be easier to call them instead of emailing them for info?

My experience is that Karen and Mark R. are very good about returning email, particularly if it involves money.

He ended up calling to make sure. The emails were taking about a week for replies regarding questions on the board info.
