first post.  i love stand up zone!

if you have never windsurfed or haven't in a really long time you could get a used rig and a used skateboard to see if it is for you.  my windsurfing lead to skate sailing.  you need very little wind and even less speed for a great time.  sailing your SUP in flat water is tons of fun.  using a small sail to surf the SUP in waves is magical.  you just have to be more careful about your kit in shore pound.  nail your jibes on land and jibing the SUP will be nothing.

once you are hopelessly addicted to wind and waves it is a sanity saver to be able to sail or surf on land.
