Thanks guys, I saw the post was missing, and thought oh, oh. Someone took offense to the short shorts!
Now I see the vid/post was moved to its own category!
Bummer, just think what the non-windsurfers here will be missing!

Re: SUPer Dave's old stuff. No worries, everything old is new again! 8)
If you got a stock windsurfer in that quiver, I hear they can be used as decent training boards for SUP.
I’m keeping my 12 foot handleless SUP Laird for awhile... two reasons. My mortgage is still pretty high, and I have to buy a roof before I buy a new board. AND, if I can’t afford the roof, I can always stay dry under the Laird.  :P

After trying out SW's custom Angulo, I realized what a difference a few feet can make. So now I got my eye on a PSH WAA, or a 10’0 Naish, or the new Jamie Mitchell Surftech... oh, I should post that current radness obsession back in general.

P.S. Windsurfing is STILL rad, and the modern equipment is rad as well.
Don't let anybody say windsurfing is a dieing sport, it was only the wannabes that quit, leaving the waves for us loyal hardcore types,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, as it should be.   ;)
It takes a quiver to do that.

Be careful what you wish for. After 10 years of kitesurfing and zero windsurfing, I'm coming back to windsurfing.  ;D ;D ;D  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Windsurfing? Never left it... If it's windy I sail. If it's small and glassy I SUP and if it's big and glassy, I surf...                        JD

I've got to try windsurfing some day. Don't let it die yet.

I loved the 80's too but I also love my boards that weigh half as much.  Windsurfing won't die as it's a completely different niche.  I'm very grateful to the SUP revolution for bringing back boards that are easy to sail, great for shlogging and better for ripping waves.  I think the biggest mistake the windsurf industry made was not continuing to make wave boards in volumes over 1oo up to 130 liters.  It's opened up some many days and doors for me.  There is just no way I would ever shlog out on a flukey offshore day on my small waveboard but with my 9'6" SUP it's all changed.  I'm have Quatro shape me a windsurfer light 8'8" SUP quad.  It's either going to be a very expensive experiment or the ultimate light wind wave killer.  Will post when I get it.
Speaking of the 80's...it was my 130 liter F2 Bullet that got me out in the waves sailing.  I could barely make a jibe or tack but I could always uphaul it.  And trolling for sets was a breeze compared to the titter tottering I have to do on my small wave boards.  Time to break some doors down...:)

Oh man, that Quatro sounds nice!!!   I'm interested in these types of boards. The AHD Sea Lion is the only board that has caught my interest for serving a dual purpose.  I just wish some of the other windsurfing manufactures would do something similar which would offer a few more choices.

I hear ya on the larger wave boards, especially being on the east coast.  The Exocet Exo Wave 105 is my light wind go to wave board.  Absolutely love it!

Just got my first shipment of the Nah Skwell line of SUP's in on Thursday here in N Florida... They are made by Tridenn which is the parent company and maker of AHD sailboards and made at the same factory in Tunisia. The Nah Skwell emphasizes SUP over windsurfing but they still have the insert on the deck for a mast-foot. The build quality is excellent and are the lightest factory SUP's I have ever held. Graphics are hot too! Here; I'll post a few pic's....                Later,   JD

they look like a lot of fun. I'm a complete convert to sailing sup boards. I wasn't on my "real" windsurf boards once this summer
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

They look nice!  What are the sizes?

Interesting that you haven't even ridden your 105 & 117!  Sometimes I miss my 117, but I think I would like something like this much better.
