Here's some pictures from todays down-winder.

Today was Classic.

It ended up being Oliver, Pete, Gorgo and Paul and the wind was a honking 40-45 knots with gusts around 50 knots.. That's serious wind.

I was on the 12' Naish Glide, Oliver on his Naish 11'6", Pete on his Naish 11'4", Paul on his 11'6" C4 and Gorgo on the PSH 12' Gun.

I was getting runner after runner and often not even needing to paddle to catch runners because the wind was so strong pushing in our backs..

At times I was going so fast that if I had a crap fin it would be humming.

I got to Green Point and caught up with some windsurfing mates.. My friend Andrew had his 3.9 sqm sail and at times was getting hammered in the gusts.

They couldn't believe I'd come all the way from St Kilda in that wind and still dry from not falling once.. I took a few pictures as the guys came past.

This was Oliver.

Gorgo and Paul.

I had stopped around the corner where it didn't seem that windy.

At times I was laughing to myself with some runners lasting about 100 meters.. Can't wait to get my new 14' Glide..  :)

This is Paul having a rest at about the halfway mark.

Gorgo using the new 12' PSH Gun.. Its there somewhere..  ;D

Nice shot of Paul with a waist high runner right beside him (head high if your sitting).
How far did you go?

Chan

That looks perfect, if not a bit chilly. Hope we get some of your wind tomorrow.

It was only about 15 kilometers (10 miles) and I wished it was longer..  :) .. The Glide was flying..  :)

Yeah.. It was a bit chilly.. Maybe that's why I didn't fall in..  ;D .. but then it is the middle of our Winter here in Oz.. (can't wait till next Summer)..  8)
