Not sure if the hyperlink transposed, if not then copy and paste into your browser -

Discussion thread (and photos) on the surfer magazine forum about a SUPer dropping in on a bunch of kids and a dad (all on the same board).

Lots of H8 against sup'rs -

I saw this when kitesurfing first emerged - the windsurfers that originally made the jump understood the "starboard tack right of way" concept - the surfers that got into it didn't.

Now - the surfers that see this as another tool in the quiver know that they should take every wave (just because they can) and that you just don't drop in on someone already on a wave.

Make sure you read down to the bottom of the thread (if you are interested - if you've read this far you probably are) - some references to some well respected surfers (again mixed in with some H8)

Shows that more than ever, as the line ups get more crowded, we all need to be respectful.

Just read entire thread lot of hate going on there...really stupid dropin

Does look like a SUP that the family is on that kid needs a good talking to.

Think the trouble is that SUP's are a target for hate by many shortboarders and any infraction is blown up.

Still go by the saying a kook is a kook. Dosent matter what craft they are on, I've always tried to surf with fairness and respect regardless of what type of board I am on.
