Is new members registration is working?
« on: September 05, 2023, 07:37:33 PM »
Hey there,

I was surfing with someone recently and asked this person if he finally joined the zone. He said he is having issues and nobody replied on his request. Does anyone know who I should contact for helping resolve this?

thanks!

Ping Admin. The signup procedure has always been challenging. All forums like this are inundated with spammers. Admin has done a creditable job of keeping the bastards at bay, but as a result, it's not trivial to register. Enough so that there is a pinned post about trying to register. Tell your friend to pick a clearly watersport-related name. It can be fairly long which will make it easier to spot in the middle of all the spam, maybe something like "An_Actual-SUP_surfer". Once they are accepted they can change their name.

Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Hi, Yes please do have them use a Watersports related name.  I won't miss that.  That helps me seperate out good entries from spammers.  Thanks

When I registered back in the year 2016, with my user name not being water related, I had no trouble registering. I must have been lucky back then.
