Move Naish into the hard handle camp. A little birdie tipped me off.

Here's a video with lots of scenes with, what may be, the new hard handle Armstrong wing.

Three new Cabrinha wings for 2023 -- hard handles with spacers so you can change the angle of the handles.  Also, the Mantis Apex with new super strong strut material and smaller diameter struts = more $.  The competition is heating up big time.

Also NP has the new Fly wing that looks really good.

I'm going to give this wing a try for 2013.  Here's the review that was the straw that broke the camel's back (long).

O.K. You like to wing foil race against other racers at your local yacht club on weekends.  You and Paul usually place in the top 3 or 4 racers out of 15 in every race.  One day Paul turns up to race with the new Ensis wing and he now dominates each and every race.  His new wing (he has three) costs several thousand dollars each.  He's rich and you aren't.  Your enthusiasm to race now begins to wane along with the other racers.

In this video the rep won't say what the limited edition costs, only that the lesser model is between 1,500 and 2,000 Euros.

It's inevitable... Cheque book racing has always existed which is why I only really took part in one design racing (sailing). Even in one design racing, there are areas where the professional/wealthy can manipulate their performance by using grey areas of those rules... It's why I'm not terribly interested in wing racing. It'll end up being a constant spending cycle to be on the fastest kit...
I'm 5'10", 66kg riding:
Swift Foil Boards custom 4'10 x 19.5" 35L
Gong Lethal 4'6 65L
Axis ART 799, 899, 1099, HPS 880 US & CS Adv fuse, 85cm mast
Gong Fluid L-S, XXL-S on 85cm and 65cm mast
Takuma RS 5.1, 4.3, 3.5

Good thing we have deja and solent to tell us how it is what would we do without you guys?

Fact is racing is fun but not for everyone. Our local yacht club racing last summer was a blast. And yes, there were rich guys. We had ultra rich Tom but he's so cheap he won't buy good gear for himself. He rides a massive, chunky foil that is slow but will foil in the lightest of wind. He made every single start and finished every single race. He finished the season in 3rd place. Next there was Dick. Very wealthy guy with good gear and a much better rider than Tom. But he was a bit lazy and gave up on a lot of the races and just didn't fight hard for every race. He finished middle of the pack at the end of the season. Next there was Harry. Another guy with VERY deep pockets. He buys the very best gear and lots of it. He lets other riders borrow gear for the races and sells barely used stuff for pennies if not just actually giving it away. He was so busy working all summer he couldn't make most of the races. Too bad cuz he rips. But he kept the fleet geared up and the blue collared guys benefitted and were stoked. Many races were won by good riders beating other good riders on better gear. But we all progressed and shared a beer and good stories at the end of the day.

I have seen the Ensis 2weeks ago at Fuerteventua (Canary Islands). It was drag racing overthere with a fancy race foil and the good news: it isnt that fast afterall.
I,m not a racer, I ride strapless with an Cabrinha H1000 (nice surf foil, but not the fastest) but with an 5.5 North Mode I borrowed to demo I was faster on almost every course except slightly downwind full speed, but I think that with straps it was beatable.

I still think that skills are waaaaay more important as gear and can compensate a lot.

These guys pretty much mirror my review. You have to get past them reading a script, to get to the good part.
