Check your brass T-nuts

Having just dis-assembled for travel I noticed every brass T-nut cracked. My foil has never left the water (on purpose) and I'm not particularly hard on gear...

Yep, a known problem with brass nuts. There are probably different qualities of brass, some probably more susceptible to cracking than others. I use the stainless Naish ones, never had an issue.

I assumed the problem was overblown or a salt water issue, guess not... these are are stock Go Foil kit with about six months use in fresh water.

I switched mine out for the stainless from the Foil-Mount. Their SS nuts have better tolerances and larger contact surface area with the tracks so less likely to pull out.
