I'm tempted too, but I'll be doing something more like this:
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Yeah bret, I’d say do it but buy a foil and let this be a project for fun. If you start winging and then have a broken foil to fix it’ll really be a heartache. ( Or ache elsewhere.) Having a reliable rig while you build is really nice.

surfcowboy, that was kind of where I was leaning. I guess I first need to learn what I'm doing in the first place, work has been so busy since I bought my wing that I have only been able to sneak in a handful of minutes to start to learn to fly it.

I've got a garage full of Gong stuff that I need to sell. Let me see if I can get off my ass and post some cheap foil sets.  :)
