I need a new 5m so this thread has my interest and kept me from buying an almost new v1 strike.

A I understand it both leading edge and center strut is constructed differently to achieve what they call "controlled deformation",
With that and the thicker strut it seems that it would be more responsive when pumping. I wouldn't mind an option for Allula strut,
I would pay the extra cost.

Handles could use refinement, they could have taken a page from Ocean Rodeo's handles. I like all the extra reinforcements.
I like the new sizes as well. Could you use the 3M right about now. I'd prefer they stuck with the V1 colors, not crazy about the new pallet.

Looks like minor refinements, maybe adds up to a noticeable difference. Have been looking at a pre-owned 2.8 but 2.5 would be a better choice assuming their sizing is still the same. Hardly matters in the gusty puffy nonsense of wind in that range ::) I've been using the 3.5 well outside of its range and a drop to 2.8 seems like it's not going to be very noticeable.

Is it just me or does the F-one sizing feel like it runs a solid .3M smaller across the range than most other brands stated size? Examples being the Takuma WR3 5M appears to be nearly a meter bigger than the Strike 5. The Reedin SWX 4.7 also appears larger by just a bit laid on top of the 5.

Speaking of using the 3.5 outside it's range...

I recently rode the 5 meter V2 strike and I felt like it was more of a refined version of the swing V2. I didn't like the strike in the 5 and smaller sizes but I did like the swing V2. I feel like the strike V2 is faster than the V1 and had wider handles. But wasn't a "oh wow, I have to dump my old wings for the one" reaction. It's a good wing and if you need new strikes or swings, it'll be a nice up grade. I would of liked to have had hard handles and some wing tips that don't catch on spins but I guess if it sells, don't change it.
