Anyone here from Georgetown SC?
« on: December 06, 2021, 07:40:39 AM »
If there's a zoner that lives there I have a USGS chart of Winyah Bay, South Carolina.  The latest pub. date on the chart is 1877. (25cents at the time).  I would be happy to gift it to a local.

I roamed around the Northeast and Midwest in the early days of SAIL and worked for a boat company in Nova Scotia out of Toronto and Annapolis. To break the boredom, I stopped at antique shops looking for marine paper and interesting bits. Coastal Maine was most productive. I gave a batch to the US Lighthouse Society ...I repatriated some lighthouse blueprints to friends on Cape Berton.  Marjie and I have concluded: we have too much c'hit!

You can send me a PM.  We can figure if you want it mounted or rolled up.

That would have been a prize!, oA.  I would have probably presented it to Bernie Goldhirsh, our Publisher, as a suck-up. Cheers.

Never heard about him before, he must be amazing person to talk.
On original topic. After we moved closer to shore, I become interested in Boston harbor and vicinity. It's amazing you can find 100 years old postcards showing the place where you live now. Map would be super cool.
