Wing care / cleaning
« on: October 17, 2021, 03:15:42 AM »
Just bought a used wing.  Condition is great, but it's obviously been put-away wet and it stinks, seems like it's inside the struts that is the problem.  Any ideas what to wash it with, I know chlorine-based products are a big NO.   Thanks.

Maybe water mixed with vinegar.  It’s mild and works on other musty, moldy smells

I had to read this, just for the fun of it. Put it out in the fresh air and sun for an afternoon. Works for underwear too (sort of).

Thanks for the replies, will try the suggestions, minus the one about the underwear PB.  (Though the smell is similar to some that hasn't seen a washing m/c in a very long time :-X).
Maybe a couple of good soakings in salt water (and drying-off after) will do the trick too.
