They aren't solid carbon and you don't have to go far before you hit foam.

Have not chopped mine but i might, i also have 2 identical stabs thanks to Takuma's brilliant policy of not selling separate frontwings or stabs.

Even if you hit the foam it should not be a problem, just scrape some of and fill the void with thickened epoxy, araldit or putty.Sand smooth and go.

To tell you the truth,i have not even tried it yet :)
I have the LOL small one and it rides pretty nice with the Kujira 1210.
I think Dominic Hoyskins reviewed the 1210 on Ytube and did not like the stab too much.

These last 2 months have been very satisfying for my skills progression, i am getting up on foil in much less wind, jibing consistently in choppy water, pumping, downwinding, tacks, new spots, some waves...

So with the setup working really  good i am very reluctant to change anything...i just want to ride more and get better.

If eventually test it i will post how it goes for me.

I see/hear nowhere where Dominic said he didn't like the stab.

Erik from the Progression Project chopped his down to 12" and liked the change (https://www.instagram.com/tv/CSuRLZJAzlw/?hl=en).  That did cut into the foam.  He also ground the winglets and wingtips off his 980.
