Need some advice on trashing/selling a blown out iSUP
« on: June 22, 2021, 05:46:38 AM »
Hi All,

Iíve had an isle board since 2017.  Last year, out of warranty, it blew out a 2í seam where the rail meets the board.  I had it fixed by a professional plastics company here for $150.  About a month ago, same blowout, but on the other side (my repaired side was just fine).  Now way out of warranty, but reluctant to pay another $150, I contacted the manufacturer and explained what Iím telling you.  They were gracious and, even out of warranty, they offered me a very nice coupon to get a new board.  So I did.

Now I have an blown out isle board in my garage and I donít know what to do with it.  Throw it away?  Sell online as a damaged product where the buyer need to fix it?  My wife has the same 2017 board, hers is fine, but short of the fin I donít think there are ďpartsĒ I could use off of my old one.  Searching online for answers gave me nothing, but led me to these forums.

Thanks for any advice!
