BRM Wings

After seeing Alex A’s BRM setup with Y handles, I set out to rig some for myself. I think I found a great setup that will work for all the wing sizes.  I picked up 10’ of 1/8” spectra, cut and made a few short loops, used some 3/4” webbing/straps, and picked up 4 hollow rubber handles online  I also used a ******** to connect to the rear handle, which really stiffens everything up.  I can’t wait to test it out! The adjustable straps and releasable knots will make for quick installation for all the wing sizes. Taking orders now (jk)

Armstrong Power Link Bar used with the BRM Wing.  Pretty basic, but very light and adaptable to the different wing sizes so long as you have a few loops of spectra line.  Really like it.

BRM 2.2M

First session with the tiny 2M at my local river spot with 20-30+ mph sideshore winds.  Put on the 1850 Armstrong wing to make sure I would get on foil easily in the extremely tight period 2+ windswell.  Last time I rode in these conditions was with the 3.5M Fone, which didn't fair too well for me at the time. 

The 2M and 1850 combo was insane!   Spent 45 minutes ripping around chasing bumps and surfing them till I started to get downwind of launch then rip upwind and repeat.  It felt amazing to to have a small wing in heavy wind conditions.  So much more enjoyable to not be overpowered and umbrella'ing everywhere. Came in with dry hair and made it back to the office before the lunch hour was up.

Ah, the great V2, V3 upgrade of 2021 has begun.

I scored a clean 4m BRM from SF this week. It’s on its way down next weekend. Stoked!
