Secondary stability

Something weird going on yesterday. Some current pushing me and just a bit of chop and I struggled for about 15 mins. Then got out of it. Managed to catch this on vid. The secondary stability of this board is great.

Sometimes there is a lot weird currents and chop in certain areas. Near breakwaters (refraction), around a lot of boat traffic (especially wakeboarders), areas where there's lots of backwash from a shoreline, and mixed up wind. You have to be on your guard in areas like that. Nice recovery. Some people will just give up when the board rolls that far. You stuck with it. Feathering your paddle to brace yourself between strokes is a good approach in those rough areas.
It's not overhead to me!
8'8" L-41 ST and a whole pile of boards I rarely use.

I don't know how many times I've paddled around the islands off Cannes over the years but it can still surprise me. You never know where there is going to be a bit of current or chop. Thats why I still love it. Its never the same.
A glassy section in the Lee of the island.
