Not immediately clear how this differs to the Strike, perhaps a more introductory rather than performance model?

That’s what I heard from a dealer.

Did you see this one? 3 struts is an interesting way to make a big wing with less span.

Interesting.

The Strike marketing video is big airs and wave riding, while the v2 is cruising and beginners on inflatables.

Curious to hear what the differences are between the 2 wings.
Aloha, I welcome and appreciate all responses of positivity and good feeling.

It’s amazing how quickly this sport is progressing.  Every week there seems to be anew technology, design, offering from numerous companies.  It’s fun to be along for the ride albeit expensive..
Hobie Raw 8'10"
Jimmy Lewis Kwad 8'7"
Naish Hover 95 liter 5'7"
F-One Rocket foil board 5'5" 90 liters
Fanatic Aero 1250, 1500, 1750 HA foils
CabrinhaMantis 3.5, 4m 5m. F-One Strike 7m CWC

One aspect I've seen coming up in reviews is the leap in upwind performance in the Strike.

They've singled out the Strike 6M saying:

Quote
6m has a completely different design and concept from the other sizes and is dedicated to light wind

I haven't seen one anywhere nor did I hear about anyone put that claim to the test
in progress...

I can testify to the upwind performance. I was on my 5.0 Strike yesterday on the Southside and carved an upwind line that felt downright weird. I was balanced right on the edge of being backwinded and it seemed like I was flying straight into the wind swell.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Was it the 5m Strike that rocked you upwind or the axis 1300 foil wing?? Maybe both!!

I was on the 1150, and I'm sure it helped.

To quote yourself!  I assume you have been on the 1150 foil before but the STRIKE was the new ingredient.  I have heard that these wings MOTOR upwind, and watched Jeff Clark come on the same tack from downwind pointing higher and going faster and catching up to me.

Yes, they do. Sadly I stuck my stabilizer through my 5.0 today, so it's gotta go up to Haile Maile tomorrow, but the 4.2 behaved well and seems to gain a couple of degrees on the 5.0. Crazy wings.
