Nu-2-Me Carolina
« on: March 25, 2021, 11:47:34 AM »
Bought a fix-r-upper NSP Carolina over the winter, and I've finally finished the repairs and gotten it out for a few paddles. Luving the dugout standing position, feels like my feet are right on top of the water. Probably need to shorten my paddle 2-3" now, keep dragging the tip after I finish a stroke and go to reach again. Other thing is that it seems a bit susceptible to cross-winds, I'm attributing that to the flat vertical sides of the dugout, maybe 1.5-2 sqft of area? Haven't had it in open ocean or small surf yet, but looking forward to it.

Nice. Those are good looking boards. Congrats on doing the work, too.

Curious how stable the Carolina is at 25.75? I'm looking for a stable all-water board and this might check all the boxes.

I jumped on this from a 12'6"x29" race/tour board and it felt comfortable to me almost right away, still only have <10 sessions on it and none in any crazy conditions. But I've also never been on anything narrower.
