5 Days in South Florida SUP Surfing

Yewwwwwwww.... what a great run!
Such good sessions, most of them solo or with another surfer.

I rode 4 different boards in 5 sessions.... so fun!
It was a 14 sec. swell, which is pretty much closeouts at most Florida spots, so I did a LOT of driving!
Chased it from Cocoa Beach to Jensen Beach... and had some interesting days at the beach!

Note:
SoloShot was not following correctly much of the sessions.... BUT:

After 3 years of trial and error.......I think I finally figured out how to get it tracking correctly.
The last day of the swell was pretty wonky, so I spent some extra time setting up Solo and tried a totally different procedure..... PERFECT!

If this setup works in a few more sessions, I will make a "How To" video of what finally broke the code for my SoloShot3 Optic65  :)

Nice waves even with the closeouts.  You came close to making contact with the board on a couple of those falls.  I really like the looks of the new Flow.

Thanks Badger, it was pretty amazing!
I got the absolute best ride of the winter on my 9'6 Kanga on the rare perfect right...but Solo missed it completely.

The Flow V2 (Casey Flow 2.0) is turning out to be a very good board... I just need a few more sessions on it to decide exactly where it fits in my quiver.

Good to see that you got a piece of that swell ... well actually it looks like you got all of it :)
Recognized a couple of the S. Brevard spots. And yeah, the rip on Sun morning was for real. Get stuck inside for a bit, and you got swept down the beach in no time. Had to do the "get out, walk back north, get back in" myself.

Great video Rick!  Looked like no pesky sharks bothered you.  Looking forward to your how to on the SS, always good to have tips.  The birds looked cool making cameo appearances!
