What's in your quiver?
« on: March 05, 2021, 11:17:37 AM »
I've been addicted to Winging for the past 6 months and have owned or tried around 8 wings including v1 and v2s and from 6 different brands would love to see what normal people are using in their wing journey.

I remember reading that this sport is a 2 x everything, 2 x wing, 2 x foil and 2 board. At the time I didn't agree but I'm starting to think it is. As an intermediate and 77kgs who rides in 8 to 30 knots with the majority 13 to 23 knots I have;

6.4m Slingshot v2 (8 to 15knots)
4m Takoon (15 to whatever)

85L Naish Hover
I'm about to add a backup 100L bigger board which can be very light wind and sup foil.

1450m3 gong LT
2100m3 gong xlt

Id love one of the new wings like the Duo Slick to work in really light wind in a 5m or 5.5m to replace the 6.4 as although the Slingshot is fantastic in low wind I don't like the transitions with big wings.

I'd be interested to see what people have in their locker!!

i believe Boom is better for lighter wind and handles for wave riding which in my spot they arrive only when the wind pick up.
I also prefer to have one quiver board not being confortable yet with the water start.
So here is my quiver :
Board: Fanatic Sky Wing 5'0 (75lt)
Wings: Duotone Echo 5 and Duotone Unit 4 and Duotone Unit 3.3
Foil: Armstrong 1250Hs/232/85

hehe, they got me...this fun fooling around add-on has become full-on.  With how little I am using my kite gear, really I should probably sell it off before it's obsolete.

6m Ozone wasp 10-15kit
4m wasp 15 to 45kt
3m OR Glide (soon) for 30-45 :-)

6.10 Demarco SUP foil 115L ... I know it's too big but it is SO easy
5.0 sky copy 75L ... gotta put in more time on it
A whole variety of small and smaller surf and kite foils ... spring project to learn a sinker start.

Gofoil NL 160.  Which has become the magic foil that has replaced ol' faithful Maliko 200 and the Iwa for lit days.

Mine isn't a quiver, it's an accumulation, or maybe an accretion. You can buy stuff on impulse, it takes discipline and effort to sell stuff. I suck at that. Everything I own is tatty--patched, scraped, busted and fixed. Most of my aluminum masts have been cut to get at some fresh aluminum and retapped or helicoil-ed. When and if I manage to force myself to sell some of this stuff, it's buyer beware--it ain't new and its lived a hard life.

wings: the hobo fleet: F-one 3.5,4.0,5.0, 6.0 and a 7.0 Airrush. There's a F-one Strike quiver waiting for me in Hood River.

foils and stuff: wings: 860, 900, 1000, 1010,1150 and FatBoy, a 1020 extended to 1100. Stabs 340,390,460. Masts: Auminum 50,60,75, 80 Carbon 76,96

Various GoFoils, mostly old.

Efoil Takuma/Avante

Boards: Flying Dutchman 6'6", SIC Manta 6.0, Kalama 6 something, Jimmy Lewis big custom, probably 7', L41 modded 8'8"
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.
