Here's another look at the Eleveight wing -- looks like the boom is bolted on.  If so, then that would complicate things and require a tool to assemble.  The
Echo's solution seems simpler and still very effective.  Still, this wing looks interesting.

Not how I would pump up a wing but each to their own.

Those boom bolts are kind of retro 80's style  :)
I was hoping for some sort of click in system, maybe it is a proto?.

At 4:36 of the linked video you will see that Alan Cadiz is riding the new Duotone Slick (centre strut and hard boom).  Boomed hybrid wings are coming and it seems windows are coming back, at least as an option.

Here's a new promotional video of the Duotone Slick:

From a marketing point-of-view I think most wing companies will at some point in time be offering both a traditional handle wing and a "boom" wing.

Here's a new promotional video of the Duotone Slick:

Yup, like the look of that. Pre-ordered a 4m today despite vague delivery dates. Seems to be the way of things at the moment! My first boom wing.

Looks like a lot less dihedral for flagging stability and much more squared off shape (maybe tip clearance to the water?).  Looking good duotone

This is an interesting idea. A flexible front handle for comfort and a boom rear handle for hand sliding. By Gaastra.

I think the most important thing that pure boom struts are missing is an element to keep the draft of the wing from shifting from one side to the other. The baffle that shapes the canopy on inflated strut wings plus the strut itself keep the center of effort more confined and help stabilize the wing. I don't understand why the boom wings don't include that--even just a fabric baffle would both shape the canopy better confine the shift that a little change in angle causes in pure boom wings.

I agree with your theory, but perhaps their party piece is the ability to adjust the boom length to change the draft depth. A baffle wouldn't work quite so well in that instance.

That's the one advantage the Echo has over the Slick -- you can't increase or decrease the Slick's draft. I think the Echo is the only wing currently on the market that has a draft that can be tuned to the conditions, which is a nice plus.

Looks like Duotone will offer the Slick, Echo and Unit for 2021.  Weight differences are discussed in the interview linked below -- differences between wings and between carbon and aluminium booms.  There is also some discussion about the materials used for the wings and weight differences -- also new fabrics coming to market.

Auto-translate stinks but you'll understand enough to figure out what they're talking about.
