Opinions on the best lightweight 6 or 7mt out there in V2
« on: January 28, 2021, 02:25:03 PM »
Been riding exclusively the swings (6 and 4.2)for the past 6 months.. Very reliable.. But something tells me there HAS to be a faster, higher pointing, non backwinding large wing out there...

I'm thinking Takoon? The fabled V3 cabrinha (is it true?), the NEW strike? Or any of the 25 small brands that you only see on the farce-book groups... Any suggestions?

Good winds

I'm personally excited about the Strike.

Me too. It's not easy moving from a swing to another wing--everything else I've tried has felt a lot heavier. You'd think a moose like me wouldn't be so fixated on that, but it's hard to go back to heavy. I ordered a quiver of Strikes.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

if by "faster" you mean more power, I am guessing almost any V2 or V3 will be more powerful than the Swing.  They will also be heavier.

I doubt the Strike will be a "heavy" wing. I'm riding the Unit and it is a light wing. Not sure what the Unit weighs compared to a F-One Swing but I doubt it's significantly heavier.

Ocean Rodeo Glide could be game changing for large wings, with it's next generation light weight, super strong Aluula fabric. Half the weight and double the strength of Dacron. Just no info on it yet!
