2021 Fanatic Sky Sup vs JL Flying V
« on: September 22, 2021, 01:39:17 AM »
Need some help. I’m down sizing from a 7’3 JL hover board, and having a hard time deciding what to go with. I’ve narrowed my options to a JL 6’5 Flying V @ 115l and the current 6’7 Fanatic Sky SUP 125l I’m 185lbs/83kg

From what I gather the Fanatic is 3lbs heavier. Looking to use this board as a stepping stone into wing foiling too. Looking for some opinions on both

Thanks

I own both the JL  115 liter and a Sky SUP 115 liter. Both great solid boards. I have only used them for wing foiling so far, not SUP foiling, but I imagine both would be good SUP foiling boards. Both are very stable , and while I have downsized to a 95 liter Fanatic wing board, I still ride the larger boards.   I don’t think you can go wrong with either...I’d probably recommend going for the 115 liter board either JL or Fanatic...not 125 liter.     I am 180 lbs and 115 is fine for me

I would definitely recommend going with lighter one. 3 lbs is super noticeable- 15lbs vs 18 is huge in the sup pumping world.
Addicted to foiling at the moment.
