Extended wing pump so you don’t bend over or squat down
« on: January 20, 2021, 08:50:53 AM »
Can anyone please help me find a pump that has an extended shaft connected to handle so you can stand straight up while pumping? I remember liquid force had such a kite pump like 10 years ago but I’m unable to find any now.

This is how I extended mine.

cut the feet off the blue one. Cut the gray one in half, split the sides. Hose clamps and duct tape.

Dwight remembers the old kite tricks.  That is one of the reasons I never bought larger than 16m.

I got the tall WMFG pump, which is tall enough to be a bit of a bitch to carry (too tall to attach to the wing pack) but spares my back, Cheap too at 60 bux and it has a two-way switch that lets you pump on both the up and down stroke, or switch to just down when the pressure gets high. Seems mostly bulletproof except the hose eventually breaks, but that's easy to fix.

I also have a DeWalt cordless/corded air compressor and low-pressure pump that works either with the cigarette lighter or a 20V Lithium power pack. I've standardized on DeWalt cordless 20V tools, so the pack fits multiple tools. I don't bother with it to inflate my F-one wings, but it's great for the monster 7.0 Airrush. Takes it right up to a little more than recommended pressure.
