Here's a short look at the Dart (new Slingshot wing) in action -- a cold city of Toronto in the background.

I just got a 3 and 4.5 Dart. Eager to get on them soon. This article compares them to the Slingwing V2. I am excited about a wing that has specific purpose- boosting and speed. We all have 1/2 dozen foils and tails for all conditions but most are on the same model hand wing for all of it. Stoked to try my specialized speed and hang time wings. Probably good for more than just backflips. Tony Logosz has come up with a lot of cool designs (and some not so) but definitely an innovator.

I can see why it might work well for that, at least theoretically. Greater recovery capabilities, easier to rotate with the center of lift moved back. It won't be efficient and probably won't go upwind easily, but stunts? Yeah, maybe so.

And yes, Tony is a smart guy and willing to try--and work to optimize--whatever pops into his head. I respect that greatly.

Let me start off by saying I own a slingwing V2 and like it.

A buddy of mine who wing foils pretty good, is going to sell his 5 meter Dart.  It's well built but doesn't deliver enough power.  For wind challenged spots, his reasoning is it would not get used very frequently, and he already has a 5m slingwing.

Seems to be popular with the kids who are doing flips

This is what winging without a board lease looks like (Moon Buddy and SS Dart).  If the shore had been rocky his board would have been destroyed (I guess he enjoys swimming after things).
