Looks good.  I like hearing the thought processes from a board designer.

Robert did a great job on this description. One of the things almost every single product review NEGLECTS is for a would be rider/purchaser to take into account his local conditions when buying a board, foil, and wing. For example, if you must wear a heavy wetsuit (adding easily 12-15lbs to your weight) you need to take that into consideration for volume choices. Are you going to be foiling in heavy chop or a slick? Do you want to just “mow the lawn” or will you be jumping and ripping down steep waves? My point is that when you read ANY review or description, put it thru your “local filter” and adjust accordingly.

Nicely done. A product video that answer every question. I never see that level of sophistication in marketing in the water sports world.
Foote 10'4X34", SIC 17.5 V1 hollow and an EPS one in Hood River. Foote 9'0" x 31", L41 8'8", 18' Speedboard, etc. etc.

Agreed,  I selfishly designed the board for myself for rolling waves and flat water to work well for a wide range of wind conditions.  The conditions shown in the video are typical for what I usually ride in.  The wind here on Oahu is not as strong as on Maui so a sinker board is hard to get going in the lulls, that's why I like enough volume to keep me at the surface even without much pull from the wing.  You should certainly factor in the weight of your wetsuit and all your gear when considering the volume.

Thank you for the support Wingadinga, please let us know how you like it.  Starting on a shorter board can be quite challenging at first, it is a lot more sensitive to front to back weight balance, not just side to side but once you figure it out, the foil handling is awesome.

Hi Robert - how does the Wing Master cope with getting up on the foil in choppy conditions? Does the more rounded shape get pushed around less than a more boxy shape?

Thanks

What’s good GoPro mount that connects to front of board?

I find the curvy rails really help with hopping up on foil at lower speeds than you can with a flatter board and yes, the rounded rails handle chop well.
The front to back balancing is more tricky since these boards are so short and have a narrower tail and nose than longer SUP foilboards that are more suitable for learning.

Let me know here when the wing master board bags are in and then I’ll place another order and get another wing too so you can ship me the board bag with it!

I just borrowed a 4'10'' Wing Master this weekend and loved how easy it was for as short as it was.  Wondering if I should opt for the 4'6" because I felt I could go a little smaller.

Problem is, I tried a 4'6" 60 liter custom a few weeks back and didn't love it - I felt it submarined a bit more when I touched down and I don't attribute it to just rocker, but also that since your front foot is further forward, there's less time to recover. I tried the same builder's 4'10" 80 liter and it didn't catch the front as much (for me)

So, if anyone has ridden a 4'6" wing master as well as a 4'10" and is roughly my weight (155#), please throw some wisdom at me.

PS - Robert - if you're reading this - do you ship to Puerto Rico?
